Saudi Arabia Launches Online Zamzam Water Delivery via Nusuk App

The Ministry of Haj and Umrah successfully launched a new initiative, allowing citizens and residents to order sacred Zamzam water through the official Nusuk app. This move marks a truly significant digital milestone in the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to vastly improve access to essential religious services for all residents nationwide.

A New Era of Access

The innovative service specifically enables users to order Zamzam water in convenient, lightweight 330-ml bottles, a first for the sacred liquid in this practical capacity. Furthermore, customers can now receive doorstep delivery to any city across the Kingdom, completely removing previous restrictions on quantity or the number of permitted orders.

Saudi Minister of Haj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, initiated this strategic program as part of the Kingdom’s broader vision to greatly enhance digital religious services, ensuring spiritual resources become much more accessible and readily available to the wider public, aligning perfectly with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 strategy.

These innovative new bottles offer a highly convenient alternative to the traditional, bulkier five-litre containers, making them ideal for modern daily consumption. They are practical, lightweight, and easy to handle, allowing users to effortlessly carry, store, and serve the water at home, work, or while travelling abroad.

Previously, returning pilgrims often brought Zamzam water home, or customers obtained it exclusively through designated distribution centers located only in Makkah. Consequently, this new digital service represents a significant leap forward, ensuring every household in the Kingdom accesses the sacred water easily and conveniently today.

Source and Spiritual Significance

Crucially, the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Zamzam Water Project, the sole official and non-profit source of Zamzam water, supplies these officially sanctioned bottles. The project maintains the highest international standards of quality and purity, diligently preserving the historic significance of the blessed water reaching people across Saudi Arabia. This launch directly aligns with Nusuk’s ultimate goal of rapidly expanding its exceptional digital services for Muslims both within and beyond the borders of the Kingdom.

The platform seeks to consistently enhance access to profoundly spiritual experiences by utilising innovative technology, which allows worshippers to obtain genuine Zamzam water safely and securely.

Located in Makkah, the ancient Zamzam well lies approximately 21 meters east of the Holy Kaaba and represents one of Islam’s most revered water sources. Zamzam water carries profound religious significance for Muslims around the globe, as the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) wisely said: “Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for,” reflecting the deep faith and divine mercy it symbolises.
