King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques arrived on Wednesday in Neom, where he will spend some time to rest and relax.King Salman had left Riyadh earlier today.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Crown announced the launch of the NEOM project, which is a special area that includes land within the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, as it will be the first area extending between 3 countries at a cost of more than $ 500 billion to be financed in partnership between the Public Investment Fund and local and international investors.

The NEOM region is located in the northwest of the Kingdom, on an area of ​​26,500 km2, and it overlooks from north and west the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba with a length of 468 km. It’s surrounded on the east by mountains with a height of 2,500 meters.

Neom is located in a strategic area that about 70% of the world’s population can reach it within a maximum of 8 hours. Engineer Nazmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, said that Rome is about 3 hours away by air from Neom, while London is only 5 hours away.
