Saudi Arabia condemns the deadly attack in Egypt’s Suez Canal city

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a security checkpoint in the city of Ismailia in the Arab Republic of Egypt and caused the death and injury of several security personnel.

 

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s stand and solidarity with the brotherly leadership, government, and people of Egypt in this affliction, offering its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, with its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured, and for Egypt and its brotherly people to maintain security and stability.

 

Several security cordons have been set up around the Ismailia ambush location following the terrorist attack on the Al-Salihin Mosque ambush on Friday evening. The attack targeted security forces inside the ambush, which occurred in front of the Al-Salihin Mosque in the Ismailia Governorate.

 

The security services in Ismailia searched the entire area, and a team from the investigation authorities moved to the site of the Al-Salihin Mosque ambush. Surveillance cameras were examined, eyewitnesses were heard, and the road was opened for drivers of cars and other vehicles, to facilitate traffic movement normally.

 

A state of sadness prevailed among the citizens of Ismailia after the ambush incident at Al-Salihin Mosque, which coincided with the end of the new Gregorian year.

 

Currently, the security services in the governorate of Ismailia are intensifying their efforts to apprehend those terrorists who tried to carry out a suicide attack on the security forces inside the Al-Salihin mosque.
