Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Violation of Arab Sovereignty Following Strikes
Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the Iranian violation of the sovereignty of several Arab countries, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“The Kingdom condemns and denounces, in the strongest possible terms, the brutal Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan,” the statement said.
In this context, Saudi Arabia expressed its full solidarity and support for these brotherly countries. It added that it has placed all its capabilities at their disposal to support any measures they may take.
Importantly, the Kingdom warned of the dire consequences resulting from the continued violation of national sovereignty and the principles of international law.
In light of this, it called on the international community to condemn these flagrant aggressions and take firm measures to respond to Iran’s violations which undermine regional security and stability.
On Saturday morning, Israel and the US launched a joint military attack on Iran. In response, Iran launched barrages of missiles and drones toward Israel as part of a “counterattack.”
Several explosions were reported in in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Abu Dhabi as they intercepted Iranian missiles over their airspaces.
The Emirati Defense Ministry said it had intercepted a number of Iranian missiles and that a person died as a result of the falling debris in Abu Dhabi, emphasizing that it “reserves its full right to respond to this escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, and residents.”
