Saudi Arabia allows vaccination of Pfizer to children from 5 to 11 years

The Saudi Arabian Food and Drug Authority declared recently that the age group of 5-11 years has been approved to receive the Pfizer vaccination according to (SPA).

Pfizer applied for approval from the authority, so that health authorities in Saudi Arabia could then use it for children

The authority’s decision to include the vaccine in the targeted age categories was based on data given by the firm indicating the vaccine met the unique regulatory standards.

The data included clinical studies and practical reports to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the vaccine for this age group.

The authority had agreed to register the “Pfizer” vaccine in Saudi Arabia on December 10, 2020.
