Saudi Arabia participates in the world’s largest travel and tourism exhibition in London
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia opened last week its pavilion at the Travel and Tourism Exhibition in London, which is the most prominent international event on the global tourism agenda this year, as the Kingdom strengthened its remarkable and continuous presence to inspire the whole world through the prominent presence of the main partners of the Saudi tourism sector.
This participation comes in the context of the efforts made by the Kingdom to consolidate its position on the global tourism map, especially after the successive successes during the past 18 months. During which domestic tourism witnessed an increase in the rate of domestic travel by 96%, as a result of focusing on developing new tourism offers, empowering investors, and attracting many new tourism service providers and packages to the market.
On this occasion, the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Ahmed Al-Khatib, said that the Kingdom is pleased to participate in one of the most important international exhibitions in the travel and tourism sector, believing in the Kingdom’s position and its leading role in inspiring the global tourism sector at this important time when the world is recovering from the repercussions of the pandemic.
He added that the challenges arising from the Corona pandemic highlighted the need for international cooperation at all levels to drive growth in the global tourism sector. To attract partners and highlight the Saudi tourism treasures to attract visitors from all over the world.
The CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Fahd Hamid Al-Din, stressed the endeavor, through participation in this international event, to enhance the Kingdom’s position on the global tourism map, and to build bridges of communication and build trust and fruitful relations with partners to achieve common aspirations and successes in the future.
He pointed out that traveler around the world is looking forward to personal safety and smooth access. This is what the Kingdom offers to its guests from all over the world i.e. the unique historical and heritage depth; the charming nature, and an abundance of tourist experiences, events, and recreational activities in all tourist destinations around the Kingdom.
Through its interactive pavilion, the Kingdom offers what touches the imagination and conscience of visitors by embodying the feelings of pride in the historical, cultural depth, the natural and climatic diversity in the various wonderful tourist destinations on the Red Sea coasts or in the heritage sites in Al-Ula, Diriyah, and others.
Visitors to the Kingdom’s pavilion also can enjoy the most beautiful artistic performances by Saudi folklore groups.
