Saudi Arabia allows funeral prayers in mosques

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance allowed the establishment of funeral prayers after the obligatory prayers, in mosques that are authorized to do so.

This came in a speech addressed by the Minister , Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, explaining the return to performing prayers at funerals after the imposed prayers, as was the case before the Coronavirus pandemic.

At the same time, he stressed the need to adhere to all precautionary and preventive measures.

It is noteworthy that the ministry directed – earlier – to perform prayers at funerals outside the times of the imposed prayers as part of the precautionary measures.

 Islamic Affairs Minister directed all mosque preachers and supportive mosques in which Friday prayers are held that the next Friday sermon should include talk about the need for faculty and students to receive two doses of the Corona vaccine.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health announced, yesterday, Wednesday, a new statistic of Corona developments in the Kingdom during the past 24 hours; It included the registration of 1043 confirmed cases and the recovery of 1211 cases.

While the number of active cases reached 10,393; of these, 1,396 are critical. The statistics showed that the total number of injuries in the Kingdom reached 529,995, and the number of recovery cases was 511,318.

14 deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of deaths in the Kingdom to 8,284.
