Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has begun regularizing the status of individuals with expired visit, Umrah and transit visas, as well as final exit permits, after ongoing regional disruptions hindered their departure under current conditions, according to Gulf News.
The authorities explained that the measures cover visas that expired from February 26, 2026, enabling affected individuals to regularize their status through two options.
The first option allows for the extension of expired visas upon the host’s request through April 18, 2026, following payment of the required fees via the Absher platform.
As an alternative, visa holders may also leave the Kingdom directly through international ports without extension or any associated fees or overstay fines.
The ministry noted that the measure seeks to streamline procedures for affected visitors and residents, while ensuring compliance with regulations and the efficient movement of travelers across the Kingdom’s borders.
