Saudi Arabia Strengthens Air Network on Journey Toward 250 Destinations

Saudi Arabia is taking a decisive step toward establishing itself as one of the world’s most connected destinations.

Through its collaboration with Saudia, the Air Connectivity Program (ACP) is expanding seat capacity across several international routes in 2026, reinforcing connections with priority global markets and accommodating growing demand for travel to the Kingdom.

The increase also promises travelers a diverse lineup of options and greater flexibility, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious vision to make the Kingdom increasingly accessible to visitors from around the globe.

Two Global Markets

Amid this momentum, China is gaining stronger air access to the Kingdom as Saudi Arabia increases capacity across two major direct routes. An additional weekly service on the Guangzhou–Jeddah route has expanded operations to four flights per week, with more than 124,000 seats available annually in both directions. At the same time, the Beijing Daxing–Riyadh route has grown to three weekly flights, offering more than 93,000 seats each year and creating greater flexibility for travelers between Saudi Arabia and China.

Remarkably, connectivity with the United States is also receiving a significant boost. The New York–Jeddah route has expanded by three weekly flights, taking its total to seven and offering over 211,000 seats annually in both directions.

Designed to accommodate growing demand, the additional capacity seeks to make travel between the U.S. and the Kingdom more accessible and flexible.

Expanding Saudi Arabia’s Global Reach

The latest expansion builds on the ongoing partnership between the Air Connectivity Program and Saudi national carriers to broaden the Kingdom’s international destination network and reinforce its connections with priority markets.

Apart from adding flights and seats, the efforts are designed to keep pace with rising travel demand, give passengers greater choice and flexibility, and make it easier for more international visitors to reach Saudi Arabia.

Together, these initiatives support the ambitious objectives of the National Tourism Strategy and Aviation Sector Strategy while advancing the broader ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Road to 250 Destinations

To further support the Kingdom’s tourism ambitions, the Air Connectivity Program is playing a pivotal role in strengthening links with global markets, broadening existing routes, and opening pathways to new international destinations.

While Saudi Arabia continues to broaden its aviation network, these efforts are helping to push the Kingdom closer to its ambitious goal of connecting with 250 international destinations by 2030.
