In line with directives from the Saudi leadership, the Ministry of Interior has initiated procedures to address the status of individuals whose visas expired on or after February 25, 2026. This includes holders of all types of visit visas, as well as Umrah, transit, and final exit visas, who were unable to depart due to ongoing regional circumstances.
The measures are as follows:
First:
Visas that expired on or after February 25, 2026, may be extended until April 18, 2026, upon request by the visitor’s host. Extensions require payment of the applicable fees through the Absher platform.

Second:
Visa holders whose visas expired on or after February 25, 2026, are permitted to leave the Kingdom directly through international departure points without the need to extend their visas or pay any fees or penalties.
The Ministry urged all affected individuals to depart before April 18, 2026, to avoid being subject to applicable regulations and penalties within the Kingdom.
