Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received today, Thursday, his Saudi counterpart HRH, Faisal bin Farhan, in the Russian capital, Moscow.
During the meeting, which was reported by the “Russia Today” news channel, Lavrov praised the level of Russian-Saudi relations.
He considers the development of Saudi-Russia relations a priority for Russia, which is doing everything necessary to achieve and implement the agreements reached at the leadership level of the two countries.
“Permanent and mutual coordination is taking place between Russia and Saudi Arabia at the level of ministries, relevant government agencies, trade, economy, and investment sectors,” Lavrov said.
I welcome the Kingdom’s interest to participate actively, not only in the settlement of regional issues but also at the international level.
For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister confirmed that he will discuss with his Russian counterpart issues of concern to the two friendly countries and the challenges facing the world.
In addition to exchanging views on various crises internationally and regionally, and discussing ways to develop relations between the two countries, which share distinct historical relations, and cooperation to unify visions and support bilateral relations.
