Royal Tour: Saudi Crown Prince, Britain’s Prince William Visit UNESCO Site At-Turaif
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, welcomed Britain’s Prince of Wales, Prince William, to Diriyah on Monday evening, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Crown Prince gave Prince William a tour of the historic At-Turaif District, the birthplace of the First Saudi State and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Diriyah, north-west of Riyadh.

The royal tour showcased At-Turaif’s traditional Najdi architectural style. During the tour, Prince William explored the palaces of the imams and princes of the First Saudi State.

Furthermore, the two royals took a commemorative photo in front of Salwa Palace, one of the historic palaces that served as the seat of government during the First Saudi State.
The visit also included a presentation of the Diriyah project’s master plan.

Prince William arrived in Riyadh on Monday as part of a three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, representing the British government. The visit aims to deepen bilateral ties as the two countries mark 100 years of diplomatic relations.

During the visit, the Prince of Wales will hold an audience with the Saudi Crown Prince and participate in a series of engagements highlighting Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation, cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability, according to Kensington Palace.
