The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has announced the phased operational schedule for the six lines of the Riyadh Metro. The launch will begin with the operation of three lines:
Line 1 (Blue Line): Along Olaya Street – Batha Corridor.
Line 4 (Yellow Line): Along King Khalid International Airport Road Corridor.
Line 6 (Purple Line): Along Abdulrahman Bin Auf Road – Sheikh Hasan Bin Hussein Road Corridor.
These lines will commence service on Sunday, January 1, 2024 (29 Jumada Al-Awwal 1446 ).

Sunday, December 15, 2024 (14 Jumada Al-Thani 1446 ):
The launch of:
Line 2 (Red Line): Along King Abdullah Road.
Line 5 (Green Line): Along King Abdulaziz Road.
Sunday, January 5, 2025 (5 Rajab 1446 AH):
The launch of Line 3 (Orange Line): Along Medina Road Corridor.
Additionally, this schedule, the full Riyadh Metro network, comprising six lines spanning a total of 176 kilometers and 85 stations, including four main stations, will be operational.
