
The training camp for participants in the third edition of the 2024 Industry Hackathon, organized by the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, will kick off tomorrow for two days. The aim is to invest the creativity of citizens and residents and direct their energies towards developing innovative solutions for the challenges facing national manufacturers.
A total of 206 participants representing 50 teams will compete across three tracks: (design, production, and sustainability) in a training camp that includes enrichment sessions led by challenge owners, in addition to mentoring and dialogue sessions presented by experts in the industrial sector. The camp will provide a manufacturing lab to assist participants in implementing their ideas using various technologies such as 3D printers and others.

the camp will hold a concluding ceremony and the ‘Industry Hackathon’ exhibition, showcasing participants’ project presentations and proposed solutions. His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khuraif, will attend to honor the winners and participants with prizes totaling 1,400,000 Saudi Riyals.
Finally, the third edition of the Industry Hackathon will be held in partnership with Riyad Bank, Alat Company, Gazco, Sabic, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, with sponsorship from Ma’aden and Al-Arabiya.
