Saudi Arabia Showcases Water Management Innovations at AIWW 2024

The Saudi Water Authority is taking part in the third edition of the Asia International Water Week (AIWW) in Beijing, China, showcasing its accomplishments in water management to strengthen international relations and emphasize its commitment to international cooperation in this field.

For that purpose, the Saudi Water Authority participated in the AIWW 2024’s accompanying exhibition with a pavilion displaying the latest practices and technologies in water resource management, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The exhibition featured representatives from the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture; the Saudi Water Authority; the National Water Company; the Water Transport and Desalination Company; the Water Partnerships Company; and the General Irrigation Corporation.

It witnessed a huge turnout of visitors interested in learning about Saudi Arabia’s experience in managing its water resources, as well as the Kingdom’s pioneering innovations in water management and sustainable water security.

This emphasizes Saudi Arabia’s leadership in developing innovative solutions that contribute to enhancing water supply chains, and ensuring water resources sustainability on a global level.

In order to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese private sector, the Saudi Water Authority held a meeting with high-level officials from leading innovative technology companies and organizations in China and Asia.

This meeting aimed to discuss the prospects of collaboration to develop artificial intelligence (AI) innovations and technologies in the water sector and water resource management.

The AIWW 2024 is taking place in Beijing from September 24-28, 2024. It is the most influential gathering of water-related multi-stakeholders in Asia.

The third edition is co-hosted by the Asia Water Council (AWC) and the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of China, and lead-organized by China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR).
