
Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ethical AI reaches new heights as Riyadh prepares to host the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI from 14 to 17 September, 2026, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with UNESCO and supported by the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), the event underscores global trust in Saudi leadership. Moreover, this forum highlights the Kingdom’s pivotal role in shaping responsible AI frameworks worldwide.
This year’s forum builds on Saudi Arabia’s ongoing collaboration with UNESCO to develop ethical AI guidelines. Furthermore, ICAIRE, headquartered in Riyadh, plays a critical role in advancing global research and policy. The event also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to foster an inclusive digital future while advancing the Sustainable Development Goals through responsible AI innovation.
