The head of the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al Sheikh, announced on his account on “Twitter” that the Riyadh Entertainment Season attracted 11.4 million visitors, and that the direct income from his activities exceeded one billion riyals.
Al-Sheikh said that the Riyadh season created 34,000 direct jobs, and 17,000 indirect jobs.
The Gulf TV network reported on Sunday that the Riyadh season witnesses a great entertainment cultural, sports and artistic activities, as well as, plays and festivals targeting various segments of society.
The Riyadh Entertainment Season is expected to witness an increase in the number of visitors during the remainder of the period due to the large activities in various regions.
Activities of the Riyadh season vary between mass parties, enthusiastic shows, wildlife, restaurants, cafes and international brands, in addition to car shows, auctions, games, eastern and foreign parties, heritage and art.
The Riyadh Entertainment Season activities started on Friday, October 11, and will continue until the end of January 2020.
These entertainment activities come within a package of new activities that Saudi Arabia has adopted within the 2030 vision to diversify the sources of income in the Kingdom, and not to rely on oil as a primary and only source of income.
