Princess Haifa Al Muqrin Sworn in as Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Spain
Who is Princess Haifa Al Muqrin
Princess Haifa Al Muqrin, the appointed ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, took the oath in front of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, at Arqah Palace in Riyadh today.
Along with the princess, several other ambassadors also took the oath in front of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Who is Princess Haifa Al Muqrin, Chair of World Heritage Committee?
Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz Al Muqrin earned a Bachelor’s in Economics from King Saud University in 2000 and a Master’s in Economics from SOAS, London, in 2007.
Princess was the Assistant Deputy for Sustainable Development and G20 Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning. She also worked for 7 years at the United Nations Development Programme.
She covered areas related to social development and human rights. Prior to this, she served as a lecturer at King Saud University in Riyadh.
On January 14, 2020, Princess Haifa was appointed as the Permanent Delegate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud awarded her the King Abdulaziz Order of Excellence on April 6, 2021 (28 Sha’ban 1442 AH).
