Prince Dr. Faisal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, named the first drone manufactured by a Saudi company in Qassim “Al-Aridh”.
This followed the inauguration of United Defense Company’s factory, a subsidiary of Qudra Holding Group specializing in military, defense, and security industries, in Buraidah’s Second Industrial City.
The Emir of the Qassim region expressed pride in witnessing a drone factory in Qassim, a result of Crown Prince’s directives to localize military manufacturing. Additionally, he welcomed the participation of the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Engineer Ahmed Al-Ohali, in the factory’s inauguration and review of its advanced technologies. This factory marks a significant addition to military industries and showcases skilled Saudi talent in drone technology.
He said: “I am very proud and honored by the young Saudi engineers and those in charge of this factory, who are the real profit and investment for this dear country with its wise leadership and the ambition of the Crown Prince who drew the road map for such advanced industries.”
The Emir of Qassim Region was briefed on the high readiness of the drone factory and the modern technology used in manufacturing drones by national hands. He also named the first Saudi-made drone in Qassim Region “Al-Aridh”.
