Kingdom Discusses AI Capacity Building at New York Advisory Board Meeting
The Kingdom took part in the meeting of the United Nations Artificial Intelligence Advisory Board, which was held in New York City, USA, during the Future Summit, with the participation of 38 members from various countries around the world.
The Kingdom was represented at the meeting by Shura Council member Dr. Latifa bint Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, as well as officials from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
Moreover, the meeting discussed the recommendations of the High-Level Advisory Panel report on capacity building in the field of artificial intelligence.
SDAIA supports the advisory board to strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership in AI, enhance its global use, and boost its international standing in this vital sector, while maximizing the impact of advanced technologies on individuals and institutions.

Furthermore, the advisory board is developing programs and initiatives to encourage the adoption of data and AI technologies. This involves creating a collaborative and forward-looking system in the data and AI sector. It is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. It also supports the Kingdom’s efforts to promote the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
