President of the Republic of Senegal receives Saudi FM
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was greeted by Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, at the Presidential Palace in Dakar today.
During the reception, His Highness conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense – may God preserve them – as well as their wishes for further progress, prosperity, and development to the government and people of Senegal.
His Excellency sent congratulations and thanks to His Highness the Crown Prince, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the Saudi government and people.
During the reception, they discussed many elements of the two brotherly countries’ ties, as well as areas of bilateral cooperation and ways to expand it in various aspects, as well as some problems of mutual interest.
Ambassador Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, Assistant Minister of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Saad Al-Nafie, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Senegal, and Director-General of His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud were among those who attended the reception.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Senegal have strong and long-standing relationships and these ties have only grown stronger over time.
The Kingdom declares that it is a strong supporter of Senegal’s development ambitions and that it can help the nation achieve economic stability and social welfare.
The Kingdom continues to fund development initiatives in all disciplines and sectors throughout all Senegalese administrative regions. It offered 27 loans and four grants totaling 1748.4 million riyals for development projects through the Saudi Fund for Development.
In the year (2021), the trade exchange between the Kingdom and Senegal totaled 50 million dollars, with 49 million dollars in Saudi exports and 42 million dollars in non-oil exports.
