PIF Saudi Open Achieves Great Success
The PIF Saudi Open, presented by the Public Investment Fund, has been significantly successful. It supported Saudi youth and greatly helped their success at the local and regional levels, according to Saudi Press Agency.
The participation of international golf stars in the tournament, which is held at the Riyadh Golf Club between December 14 and 17, contributed to giving great importance to the event. This event is the last Asian round on the agenda for the current year 2023. Among the most prominent participants are the Swedish Golf star Henrik Stenson, and the American Kevin Na.
Saudi Golfers
The event will witness a strong Saudi presence in the competitions with the first professional golf player, Othman AlMulla, in addition to players Saud Al-Sharif and Faisal Salhab. They began their professional journey at the beginning of 2023 after successful amateur careers, and competed in the Saudi International Championship presented by the Public Investment Fund earlier in the year.
The group will be joined by 11 golfers from North Africa and the Middle East. The Saudi Golf invited them to compete alongside the stars of the Asian Tour.
Saudi Photographer
Saudi photographer, Suleiman Al-Qablan, clinched the second position in the ninth edition of Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Photography Award for Arabian Horses, particularly in the events category. This category mandates the inclusion of human interaction with horses in the captured images, showcasing the detailed bond between humans and horses.
Reflecting Cultural Interactions Through Lens
In an interview with “Arabiya.net”, Al-Qablan expressed his keen interest in capturing cultures and human interactions with them. The winning photograph was taken in Ar-Rass province. It embodied the Najdi culture of Saudi Arabia, portraying Arabian attire, horses, and falcons in a creative triad.
