Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Ready for 2023 Club World Cup

The Ministry of Sports announced that Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City in Jeddah is ready to host the 2023  Club World Cup, as per Sabq.

KSA will host 2023 Club World Cup from 12 to 22 December.

 

Thamer Basunbul, Deputy Minister of Sports Facilities at the Ministry of Sports, revealed the volume of the preparations that were completed in Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal City before the start of the Club World Cup.

He made this announcement during the press conference, revealing the readiness of the facilities for the 2023 Club World Cup.

 

He pointed out that the country renovated the players’ entrance in the stadium. Moreover, it relocated the bench and lowered it to the level of the field so as not come in the way of the fans’ vision.

The general appearance of the stadium and the green surface was also improved and the track was changed to artificial turf that conforms to FIFA specifications.

 

He noted the development of a surveillance camera system and the improvement of the digital infrastructure to improve the work of media professionals as well as helping the security authorities carry out their roles. The country has also replaced the stadium chairs with the best quality ones.

Additional Facilitations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the availability of an electronic visa for the Club World Cup ticket holders.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized this in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports.

“The step aims to facilitate the procedures of travelling to the Kingdom for football fans to attend the 2023 Club World Cup matches. It also aims to provide the best possible experience for them to visit the Kingdom,” said the ministry.

It indicated that ticket holders for the 2023 Club World Cup can apply for an electronic visa via the website.

Moreover, the Ministry of Sports intends to reveal the readiness of the facilities for the highly anticipated event.

The Kingdom will host the tournament from December 12 to 22. Al-Ittihad, the champion of the Roshn Professional League for the 2022-2023 season, will take part in the event.
