
The Vice President of Palestine, Hussein Al-Sheikh, has discussed the latest development in Gaza and West Bank with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in Doha, according to the WAFA Agency.
During the meeting, Al-Sheikh delved into the current situation in Palestine and called for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. Therefore, the Palestinian Authority can take on civil and security responsibilities.
In this context, the Vice President stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and facilitated delivery of humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Prime Minister emphasized his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, reaffirming the significance of establishing a Palestinian state.
The participants also reviewed the preparations of the upcoming Arab League Summit in Baghdad and the US President Donald Trump’s expected visit to the region this week.
