The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance received on Wednesday the first batch of the 2,000 Palestinian pilgrims hosted under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit.

Arrival in Makkah
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), 500 Palestinian pilgrims arrived in Makkah on Wednesday morning. This comes amid the integrated services the Ministry provides through several committees to offer the best services for pilgrims from the moment they arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah until they reach their hotel in Makkah.

These efforts align with the directives of the Kingdom’s leadership to provide high-quality services to Palestinian pilgrims in order to to perform Hajj rituals in an atmosphere of peace and devotion.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, issued a royal order to host 1,000 pilgrims from the family members of Palestinians killed or injured in Gaza. This brings the total number of pilgrims hosted from Palestine to 2,000.

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance will continue on Thursday receiving the remaining 1,500 Palestinian pilgrims hosted as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit.

Warm Reception
Praising the warm reception, the pilgrims extended their gratitude and appreciation to Saudi Arabia’s government for the attention it pays to the Palestinian cause. They also thanked the Kingdom for enabling them to perform Hajj through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program.
This year, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit is hosting 3,322 pilgrims from 88 countries across the world. They have begun arriving in the Kingdom since the first day of Dhu’al-Hijjah.
