The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has issued a royal order to host 1,000 pilgrims from the family members of Palestinians killed or injured in Gaza, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
This move comes under the “Initiative to Host Pilgrims from the Families of Martyrs and the Injured from the Gaza Strip” to perform Hajj this year exceptionally. It brings the total number of pilgrims hosted from Palestine to 2,000, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for this noble gesture which reflects their continuous concern and care for the Palestinian people and underscores the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause on all levels.
Furthermore, this humanitarian gesture from the Kingdom’s leadership, to enable families of martyrs and injured from Gaza to perform Hajj, is an extension of Saudi Arabia’s efforts and support for Palestinians, Al-Sheikh added.
The Saudi Minister pointed out that since the issuance of the royal decree, the Ministry has been preparing to receive the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques from the families of the martyrs and the injured in Palestine. For this end, it has developed a plan through several committees tasked with serving pilgrims and enabling them to perform Hajj with comfort and ease.
