“Najran Health Cluster” launched yesterday a campaign for early detection of “breast cancer” under the slogan “Your Flag is Pink,” in conjunction with the global breast cancer awareness month, which takes place every October.
The event was held in the presence of the CEO of Najran Health Cluster, Khalid bin Ayedh Asiri, at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about early breast cancer detection and prevention. It encourages women over 40, who haven’t had a screening in over two years, to get checked. It also fosters cooperation between health authorities, government, and private organizations to fight breast cancer together.
The campaign also featured interactive workshops aimed at engaging participants and promoting early detection. Health professionals were present to answer questions and offer personalized recommendations based on individual risk factors. Moreover, social media platforms were actively utilized to reach a broader audience and share key messages about breast cancer prevention.
Finally, the initiative sought to foster a supportive community, encouraging open discussions and raising awareness about the importance of regular check-ups.
