Military cooperation between Riyadh & US preserves region: Saudi FM
Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the military cooperation between Riyadh and US contributed to the stability of the region.
The Saudi foreign minister indicated that the relationship with the US is old and strategic, and has provided great benefits to the two countries, and cooperation between them serves the common interest.
The Saudi foreign minister added in an interview with (Al-Arabiya), that any nuclear agreement with Iran must take into account the shortcomings of the previous agreement.
Regarding the Yemeni file, Faisal bin Farhan stressed that the Kingdom, the coalition, and the Yemeni government are keen to extend the truce and that efforts to extend the truce in Yemen are still valid.
He added that any agreement with Iran must take into account regional security.
In another context, the Saudi FM stated that the war in Ukraine had significant economic consequences for the world, stressing the need to find ways to stop the war.
In the economic aspect, Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that “the decision of OPEC + is purely economic, and it was taken unanimously by the member states.” He added, “The OPEC + countries acted responsibly and took the appropriate decision.”
He continued, “The OPEC + countries seek to stabilize the market and achieve the interests of producers and consumers.” He explained that “the relationship with the US is strategic and supports the security and stability of the region.”
Saudi FM asserted that the bilateral military cooperation between Riyadh and US serves the interests of both countries and has contributed to the stability of the region.
“Our relationship with the US is institutional since the relationship between the two countries was established.” The Saudi FM added.
