KSA: No Normalization with Israel without Recognizing Palestine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that KSA informed the U.S. administration that there will be no normalization with Israel without recognizing Palestinian state.
MFA confirms that the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been and remains steadfast towards the Palestinian issue.
Moreover, MFA confirmed the necessity for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights. Additionally, KSA stated the urgent need to halt Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of all Israeli occupation forces from Gaza.
This comes as part of the ongoing discussions between the KSA and the U.S. regarding the Arab- Israeli peace process. This has been stated by the spokesperson for the U.S. National Security Council.
MFA’s Announcements about Israel- Gaza Conflict
MFA emphasized that KSA reaffirms its call to the international community to recognize the importance of expediting recognition of the Palestinian state.
KSA called the permanent member states of the Security Council to recognize the Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with its capital in East Jerusalem.
KSA affirmed that the recognition will give Palestinian their legitimate rights and achieve comprehensive and just peace for all.
Moreover, MFA reaffirmed that there will be no normalization with Israel until Israel recognizes Palestinian State.
Blinken’s Visit to KSA
It is worth noting that Blinken, the Secretary of State, arrived in KSA last Monday on his fifth- tourn in the Middle East. Notably, this visit aims to reach a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas and seeks a truce in Gaza.
In this meeting, the Crown Prince informed Blinken that KSA’s normalization with Israel will not be achieved until an international recognition of the independent Palestinian state is granted.
He confirmed that this recognition must align within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital.
Farhan: No Normalization with Israel Without Establishment of Palestinian State
In previous meeting, Farhan, the Foreign Minister of KSA, confirmed Kingdom’s stance about the Israel-Gaza conflict. He has said “no normalization with Israel until the establishment of an independent Palestine state.”
Additionally, he declared that Israel is violating fundamental human rights norms by its continuous aggression against Gaza. Furthermore, he reiterated that the de-escalation of the Gaza War and the cessation of civilian casualties are KSA’s main priorities.
