Kingdom of Gaming: Riyadh Brings Global Gaming Together Dec. 1-3

Riyadh is gearing up to welcome the global gaming industry as the inaugural Kingdom of Gaming brings together the companies, investors, talent and institutions shaping one of the world’s fastest-evolving entertainment and technology sectors.

The future of gaming unfolds

Taking place from Dec. 1-3 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, the event will bring together 500 studios and developers, 300 exhibitors and sponsors, and 200 investors, as well as representatives from publishing, technology, government and esports.

Across three days, more than 200 speakers will take to four stages, delving into the forces shaping gaming, from investment and publishing to game development, emerging technologies, talent and esports.

Notably, the conversations will explore key developments across the sector, including gaming investment, changing ownership structures, AI-driven game creation, evolving gaming ecosystems, talent development and original IP.

Building Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem

For Amr Sager, chief of staff at Savvy Games Group, Saudi Arabia emerges as a prestigious hub for games, esports and the wider gaming industry, emphasizing Riyadh’s potential to connect industry leaders, investors, technology partners and the gaming community around new collaborations and opportunities.

Enriching the weight of the event, the KoG Academy will provide a dedicated platform for learning and business engagement, blending workshops and training with networking sessions, investor meetings and executive roundtables.

The academy will place emerging talent at the heart of its practical programming, providing promising opportunities to learn, create and develop games.

More significantly, its Made in the Kingdom initiative, supported by Unreal Engine, will allow creators to bring their work to life and showcase it as part of the event.

Putting Saudi creators in the spotlight

That special focus on emerging creators will continue on the show floor, where PUBG MOBILE will bring its World of Wonder creator ecosystem to Kingdom of Gaming and showcase content from Saudi student creators.

The initiative builds on PUBG MOBILE’s work with student creators in the Kingdom, using game creation and user-generated content to help young talent develop their ideas and bring them to a wider audience.

According to Annabelle Mander, executive vice president at Tahaluf, Kingdom of Gaming seeks to connect those making investment decisions with the developers, technology builders and entrepreneurs shaping new business opportunities.

She further noted that the broader goal is to establish Riyadh as a place where the global gaming industry can come together to do business.
