Located on Medina Road, west of King Abdullah Sports City, the Jeddah Super Dome in western Saudi Arabia is the largest in the world. Its interior area exceeds 34,000 m2, a height of 46m, 210m in diameter, and 5,200 car parking spaces for hosting events and conferences.
Next Wednesday, the Emir of Mecca, Khaled Al-Faisal, will open the region’s digital projects exhibition and its events in the Dome of Jeddah. A statement issued by the Emirate of Mecca said that for the first time, the Emirate’s programs and activities are unified in one week, organized annually. All governmental, civil and community agencies in the region participate, including various events, competitions, and programs.
The digital exhibition will be available to the people of the region and visitors, taking into account the application of preventive measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
The exhibition will present the public with digital presentations on the achievements and development projects adopted by the Emirate of Mecca in the region.
The exhibition will provide glimpses of the region’s pioneering projects, including Mecca’s reconstruction, the development of waterfronts in the region’s governorates, the Haramain train project, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The ongoing and future projects that are in line with the Kingdom’s vision 2030 will be presented.
How do we set an example in the digital world?
The statement above indicates that the week-long exhibition will witness the launch of the Mecca Programming and Artificial Intelligence Days initiative, one of the pioneering initiatives of the Mecca Cultural Forum, in its fifth session, entitled How to be a role model in the digital world.
Students from different universities and specialists, and academics in technology, software, and artificial intelligence will participate in this initiative. They will compete to innovate technical solutions and programs that contribute to the advancement of the Hajj and Umrah, tourism and entertainment sectors.
The exhibition will also host several health cadres in the region and its affiliated governorates to celebrate their heroic role in combating the corona pandemic as a form of appreciation.
