ITU Selects Saudi Arabia to Host 2025 Global Regulators Symposium

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) announced that the Kingdom, represented by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, will host the 2025 Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) in Riyadh. This announcement was made as part of this year’s symposium.

Since its inception over 20 years ago, the symposium has been a global event for decision makers, policy makers, and regulators. Held annually by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), it gathers ministers and heads of national communications and technology regulators, along with industry leaders. Moreover, participants from over 193 countries discuss major challenges and solutions in digital policies and regulations.

The Kingdom, represented by the Authority, was chosen to host the event. This reflects international confidence in its contributions to the International Telecommunication Union and its leadership in the sector.

Furthermore, this opportunity underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing global telecommunication standards and fostering industry innovation.
