International silence on Houthi violations is a green light: Yemeni Info Minister
Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani affirmed, on Saturday, that the international silence on Houthi violations is a green light for their continued escalation.
He wrote in a series of tweets, which he posted on his Twitter account, that the lax international attitude towards the escalation of the terrorist Houthi militia affiliated with Iran, its refusal to implement any of the terms of the UN armistice, turning a blind eye to its crimes and continuous violations daily against civilians in the areas under its control, contributed to the persistence of The militia in its sabotage practices of efforts to calm and establish peace.
“The terrorist Houthi militia considers the unjustified international silence towards its intransigence and its repudiation of its obligations stipulated in the terms of the armistice and its terrorist practices as a green light for further escalation and the commission of more crimes and violations against citizens. “He added
Al-Eryani called on the international community to provide real support to the Yemeni state and to put real pressure on the terrorist Houthi militia to force it to engage seriously and in good faith in efforts to calm down and bring peace.
The Houthis had escalated their attacks during the past weeks in Taiz Governorate and launched a large-scale military attack on the Al-Dhabab area, west of the city.
They also held a military parade two days ago in Hodeidah, in the west of the country, in clear violation of the Hodeidah Agreement, which was signed in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, in 2018.
