In Photos: “Spectacular Saudi” Captivates 200,000 Hearts in Landmark India Tour
The ‘Spectacular Saudi’ showcase concluded its triumphant 2025 tour of India, creating an unforgettable cultural bridge between the two nations. This multi-sensory event attracted an impressive 200,000 visitors across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad.
The Saudi Tourism Authority’s consumer-facing brand, ‘Saudi, Welcome to Arabia,’ masterfully presented the Kingdom’s soul and spirit to a captivated Indian audience.

A Star-Studded Cultural Celebration
Building on its successful 2024 debut, this year’s edition generated immense excitement with appearances from top Bollywood celebrities. Kareena Kapoor Khan inaugurated the event with a special tour of the exhibits, then she was soon followed by fellow stars Ananya Panday, Kartik Aaryan, Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Harshvardhan Rane.
The celebrities immersed themselves in the authentic Saudi experiences, adding significant star power to the cultural festivities. The event transformed premier malls in all five cities into vibrant hubs of Saudi culture.


Visitors explored a rich tapestry of Saudi heritage through interactive art installations and traditional workshops. They enjoyed the bold aromas of authentic Arabic coffee and savored sweet dates. Lively Ardah dance performances and intricate Arabic calligraphy demonstrations enthralled the crowds.
A dedicated Sadu weaving corner and a culinary exploration zone further deepened the cultural engagement. Key travel partners enhanced the experience with exclusive travel offers and curated itineraries, encouraging future visits to the Kingdom.

Strengthening Ties and Simplifying Travel
Alhasan Aldabbagh, President of APAC Markets at the Saudi Tourism Authority, emphasized the event’s profound impact. “Spectacular Saudi’s return to India has wonderfully strengthened the deep cultural affinity between our nations,” he stated. “We witnessed a highly positive response as Indian consumers engaged with our culture through these immersive experiences. India remains one of our most important source markets, supported by over 330 weekly flights connecting our countries.”

To simplify travel planning, the showcase featured on-site Tasheer visa facilitation kiosks which provided essential documentation guidance and real-time travel assistance. This valuable service enabled many inspired visitors to begin planning their Saudi Arabian journey directly from the event.

The showcase also spotlighted the Kingdom’s ambitious vision for the future of entertainment: Qiddiya City. This groundbreaking mega-destination, scheduled to open on 31 December, 2025, is the world’s first purpose-built city dedicated to the ‘Power of Play.’ Qiddiya City will feature the world’s largest Six Flags Park, Saudi’s first and biggest water park, and a portfolio of next-generation attractions.
The ‘Spectacular Saudi’ tour successfully showcased the Kingdom’s warm hospitality, rich heritage, and dynamic future to a massive and enthusiastic Indian audience.
