HRH Crown Prince Receives Malaysian PM in Riyadh

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, welcomed Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

Official Ceremonies Held

Notably, bin Salman held official reception ceremonies for the Malaysian leader. The Saudi and Malaysian sides held official talks. They reviewed bilateral relations, cooperation prospects, and opportunities for development in various fields. Additionally, they discussed regional and international developments and efforts towards them. Last year, trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia reached $9 billion.

It is worthy to mention that HRH received phone calls from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron, discussing the escalating situation in Gaza.

Crown Prince Talks with Canadian Prime Minister

During the conversation with Prime Minister Trudeau, the Crown Prince emphasized the necessity of exerting all possible efforts to de-escalate tensions, ensure violence doesn’t broaden, and highlighted the importance of lifting the blockade on Gaza for medical and relief aid to enter the sector. He also voiced the Kingdom’s rejection of the forced mass displacement of Palestinians in Gaza.

In a similar tone, discussions with President Macron revolved around the need for de-escalation to avoid severe repercussions on the security and stability in the region and globally.

The Crown Prince stressed the Kingdom’s disapproval of targeting civilians in any form and emphasized the significance of adherence to International Humanitarian Law, halting military operations against civilians and infrastructure affecting their daily lives.

Moreover, His Royal Highness reiterated the necessity of creating conditions for restoring stability and achieving lasting peace by reaching a fair solution to establish a Palestinian state.

During a call with the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, the Crown Prince emphasized the importance of reinforcing international and regional efforts to halt military operations in Gaza, stressing the need for De-Escalation in Gaza.

Receiving a phone call from  Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday, the Crown Prince emphasized the necessity to exert all possible efforts to reduce tensions. He stressed preventing the expansion of violence to avoid serious implications on regional and global peace and security.
