A committee in the Shura Council specialized in studying the performance reports of the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Fund called for a study of the reasons for the reluctance of some beneficiaries to receive the housing products allocated to them by the Ministry of Housing and work to address any problems in this regard.
The Shura Services Committee called on the Ministry of Housing to expand the provision of a developed land option and a loan, in order to encourage construction, especially in undeveloped places and suburbs, and to work on developing this option to meet the demands of all society segments.
According to the Al-Riyadh newspaper, the committee stated that a survey conducted by the fund showed that 80% of the beneficiaries prefer the self-construction option.
It is pointed out that the “land and loan” option, which the ministry started to implement recently, is the latest qualitative leap in the construction field in the Kingdom, indicating that most of the beneficiaries prefer this option because it meets their needs.
