The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque confirmed King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s agreement to assign Sheikh Dr Bandar bin Abdulaziz Balila, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Grand Mosque’s imam and preacher, to deliver a sermon on the Day of Arafa for Hajj this year.
The speech on the Day of Arafa holds a great place in the hearts of Muslims. Sheikh Balila was born in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the year 1395 AH, where he was educated.
He was appointed as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars on 18 October 18 2020.
In addition to his position as an assistant professor at Taif University, he earned a master’s degree in jurisprudence from Umm Al-Qura University’s College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in 1422 AH.
