Fourth Saudi Urban Development Forum to Kick off in Riyadh on Jan 14

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail will inaugurate the Fourth Saudi Urban Development and Real Estate Forum on January 14, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Set to run until January 16 at King Saud University in Riyadh, the forum will boast an accompanying exhibition in the university’s main lobby.

The event will highlight the participation of several academics, contractors, real estate professionals, and officials from both the public and private sectors.

Organized by the Saudi Umran Society, the forum will offer a valuable opportunity to discuss various topics such as modern urban theories, future challenges, and experiences at both local and global levels.

In the light of this, participants will have an exclusive opportunity to strengthen international cooperation as well as elevate scientific research in urbanism and real estate development.

The 2025 forum stands as a testament to the Saudi Umran Society’s commitment to promoting urban development.

In 2007, it launched the inaugural forum under the theme of “New Cities in the Kingdom: Vision and Ambition.” The forum delved into various strategies for urban expansion. Furthermore, the second forum in 2010 concentrated on “Modern Urban Development in the Age of Knowledge.” Meanwhile, the third edition took place in 2014, with the theme of “New Urban Development for Emerging Universities: Consolidating Sustainable Development.”
