First Meeting of Saudi-Chinese-Iranian Tripartite Committee Concludes in Beijing
The first meeting of the joint Saudi-Chinese-Iranian tripartite committee concluded in Beijing this Friday evening, reported Al Arabiya.
Today, Friday, Saudi Arabia and Iran expressed their full commitment to implementing the Beijing Agreement. It was also agreed to hold a meeting of the Saudi-Chinese-Iranian joint tripartite committee next June in Saudi Arabia.
The tripartite committee meeting, according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), reviewed the positive results achieved in relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The Saudi-Chinese-Iranian tripartite committee expressed its concern about the situation in Gaza, and stressed that any agreement on Palestine must reflect the will of the Palestinian people.
Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Deng Li, chaired the meeting to follow up on the Beijing Agreement. Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the meeting, and Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani headed the Iranian delegation.
The meeting reviewed the positive results achieved in relations between KSA and Iran in light of the Beijing Agreement under the auspices of China last March. Moreover, they discussed the reopening of the two countries’ embassies in both Riyadh and Tehran. They also discussed the meetings and mutual visits of the foreign ministers of the two countries.
The Saudi and Iranian sides also expressed their full commitment to implementing the Beijing Agreement.
