A specialized medical and surgical team from Saudi Arabia’s Conjoined Twins Program has successfully completed an 18.5-hour operation to separate Filipino twins, Klea and Maurice Ann, at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in Riyadh.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of KSrelief, and head of the surgical team, confirmed that the procedure—considered one of the most complex of its kind worldwide—was finalized with the successful completion of its fourth and fifth stages. These included skull closure and reconstruction, following the earlier completion of the first three phases of the operation.

Dr. Al Rabeeah also expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, noting that their backing enables the Saudi medical team to deliver advanced, world-class care. He emphasized that such efforts not only enhance the quality of life for patients and their families but also strengthen the Kingdom’s role as a leader in humanitarian and medical initiatives.
