Here are six bingeable shows on Netflix in Saudi Arabia, offering a special blend between romance and laughs.
‘Love Next Door’
This exceptional series remained in the top 10 in Saudi Arabia for eight weeks. The series follows Seok-ryu who is preparing for her marriage in the US. However, she returns back to Korea and meets with her old friend Seung-hyo.
Their mothers have been close friends since the heroes were young and still have a good relationship. The pair start to fiercely compete with each other in an antagonistic relationship. At the end, this competitiveness brings them closer.
‘Love to Hate You’
The series narrates a dramatic story of an attorney who despises losing to men and an A-list actor who does not have any trust in women. In an unexpected way, the pair are forced to date each other.
‘Business Proposal’
This romantic comedy series follows Shin Ha-ri, an employee who reluctantly goes on a blind date instead of her friend. Unexpectedly, she discovers that the man is her company’s CEO, Kang Tae-mu. Tae-mu accepts a fake relationship with her only to avoid his family’s pressure to marry.
‘Crash Landing on You’
It depicts a secret love story of a chaebol heiress who has to make an emergency landing in North Korea. After the accident, she meets with a North Korean special officer with whom she falls in love.
‘Romance in the House’
The series centers itself around the story of Byeon Moo-jin, who becomes bankrupt a dozen years ago and gets divorced. The show spent a week in the Saudi Top 10 on Netflix in August.
‘Twenty Five Twenty One’
It tells a love story between Na Hee-Do and Back Yi-Jin. Due to the South Korean financial crisis, Na Hee-Do is fired from her high school fencing team. Meanwhile, Back Yi-Jin’s father goes bankrupt, and the son finds himself very poor. Therefore, he has to work part-time jobs until he becomes a sports reporter for a broadcasting network.
