SH Diana Docks First Time at Saudi Ports
The Public Investment Fund-fully owned Cruise Saudi Company welcomed the cruise ship SH Diana, affiliated with the Swan Hellenic cruise line company, at the Yanbu Commercial Port, the Al-Baridi Island, and the Jeddah Islamic Port, on its first visit to the Kingdom’s ports.
The cruise ship Swan Hellenic docked at Yanbu commercial port for a full day, giving its passengers the opportunity to spend their day wandering through Yanbu’s historical neighborhoods and visiting the heritage and historical night market.
An exceptional trip
The passengers of Swan Hellenic ship also had an exceptional experience on the second day of their trip in Saudi waters. The ship docked near the coast of Al Baridi Island, and Cruise Saudi offered a new experience of moving by canoes to spend a day at the beach.
The cruise ship continued its journey in the Red Sea to dock at Jeddah Islamic Port on its second visit to Saudi ports, where passengers visited the historic Jeddah (Al-Balad) area which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. They explored houses with ancient Hijazi architectural style, traditional markets and popular restaurants.
The CEO of Saudi Cruise, Lars Clasen, explained that Saudi Cruise welcoming the Swan Hellenic cruise ship, Diana, in Saudi ports for the first time, is another achievement within its efforts to develop the tourist cruise sector.
He expressed his pride in continuing to develop cruise programs for tourist tours to enrich their experiences and provide innovative packages that mirror the authentic heritage and ancient culture of the Kingdom.
On his part, captain of the Swan Hellenic Kai Okonen expressed his happiness at the Kingdom hosting a new destination for the first time in their tourism trips.
“We seek to provide exceptional experiences for our guests, so it was one of our priorities to work with Saudi Cruise to provide a package of distinctive experiences and adventures to ensure the provision of innovative experiences during our tourism trips,” said Okonen.
