The Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, visited today the factory of “BETA Technologies” in Vermont, USA, which specializes in manufacturing electric aircraft and vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed production lines for advanced aerial mobility, the latest factory infrastructure, and charging station mechanisms. They also toured the research and development centers, where they learned about new, carbon-free manufacturing technologies. The delegation was introduced to engines using charging cubes that reduce operational costs and emissions, including the A250 VTOL aircraft and the fully electric CX300 CTOL, designed for both vertical and conventional takeoff and landing.

The delegation’s visit underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing air mobility technologies and sustainable innovations. This effort aligns with the Advanced Air Mobility Roadmap launched earlier this year. The visit seeks to boost collaboration with top civil aviation companies, exchange expertise in advanced air transport, and discuss the transfer and localization of new technologies. It also aims to enhance cooperation in research, development, and innovation.
