Aquan Festival Attracts Visitors to Jazan City
The “Aquan” festival, held on the beach of Jazan City for Basic and Transformative Industries, has attracted over 40,000 visitors since its inception. Notably, the visitors were not only from Jazan City but also from outside Jazan region. It is worth mentioning that the event will last for three months.
The festival witnessed the participation of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in Jazan. Notably, the winter events of the Aquan Festival are under the theme “More Beautiful and Warmer” for this year.
“Aquan” Festival Activities
The festival featured a variety of activities suitable for all family members. These activities included:
- Entertainment and marine games, children’s activities, a water city, beach cinema.
- Luxurious beachfront lounges.
- Booths for government entities participating in the festival.
- Contributions from local producers.
- Flyboard shows, which ran from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

The festival is very significant for the region and for KSA in general as it provides investment opportunities. Moreover, it contributes to the region’s development in various fields, especially tourism, agriculture, and fisheries. In addition, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in Jazan seeks to make Jazan a logistical hub due to its proximity to one of the world’s busiest maritime trade routes.
