American Author: Saudi Arabia Witnesses Unprecedented Developmental Revolution
American author Walter Isaacson has commended Saudi Arabia’s continuous growth of entrepreneurship within energy and development sectors.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Isaacson praised the Kingdom’s developmental revolution notably in renewable energy, and the unprecedented growth of innovation processes and the spread of solar panels.
The author’s remarks came during a dialogue session in Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, held from September 26 to October 5.
Creativity Revolution
Isaacson spoke about the creativity revolution and the most significant global innovators and pioneers in various fields.
In the light of this, he underscored the necessity of certain factors to stimulate creativity including curiosity, the desire to explore and think outside the box, and passion.
The factors also involve achieving balance and simplicity in performance, accurately defining tasks, and ensuring that the work is compatible with ethical values.
Moreover, the author delved into the stages of this revolution throughout the ages, as follows:
- The intellectual and scientific revolution which highlighted the efforts of Benjamin Franklin
- The nuclear revolution represented by Einstein
- The digital revolution with the strong presence of Steve Jobs
- The space revolution led by Elon Musk

Organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the fair offers a vast array of cultural, artistic, and entertainment events for all age groups.
Themed “Riyadh Reads,” 2024 fair aims basically to elevate the Kingdom’s cultural position both regionally and globally.
