AlUla Governorate welcomes the holy month of Ramadan this year with a package of diverse tourism experiences that reflect the uniqueness of the destination and the richness of its cultural heritage, reinforcing AlUla’s position as one of the most prominent places to visit during the holy month.
During Ramadan, AlUla offers a comprehensive experience that caters to different types of visitors. This includes stargazing experiences accompanied by specialized guides, cultural events and night markets, as well as traditional dining experiences for iftar and suhoor, all embodying the depth of the governorate’s cultural legacy and local identity.
The Ramadan programs in AlUla feature a range of distinctive events, including Ramadan experiences at Maraya Hall, a cultural market, and live performances set against the atmosphere of Ashar Valley. They also include heritage tours in the Old Town that narrate the stories of AlUla and its Ramadan traditions, including the award-winning “Incense Road” experience.

The events also include seasonal art exhibitions hosted at several cultural sites, such as AlUla Design Space, the fourth edition of Desert X AlUla, and the “Our Land” exhibition in AlUla Oasis. In addition, there are experiences that combine art and nature, as well as exploration of star constellations in Dimooma Oasis, in collaboration with Manara AlUla.
Visitors are also offered tours to prominent archaeological sites, including Hegra, Dadan, and Jabal Ikmah, to discover locations dating back centuries before Christ and unique rock inscriptions. These are complemented by adventure experiences ranging from dinner and stargazing in Sharaan, hot air balloon rides, mountain hiking trails, and safari tours.
