ALLEGED GUNMEN IN ATLANTA SHOOTING CHARGED WITH MURDER
The alleged gunman who killed eight people at massage parlors in Atlanta, Georgia, has been charged with murder. While the officials cannot confirm if the attack was racially motivated, six Asian women were killed in the attack.
The suspect faces multiple counts of murder as well as aggravated assault.
In a news conference, the investigators said suspect Robert Aaron Long admitted to the shooting spree, but denied that the attack was motivated by race.
First shooting happened at about 21:00 GMT on Tuesday at Young’s Asian Massage in Acworth, Cherokee County. Two died at the scene, while three were taken to the hospital, where two more died. Less than an hour later, police were called to a “robbery in progress” at God Spa in north-east Atlanta.
There is anger and fear in the Asian communities.
