Albanian President Promises to Safeguard Saudi Investments in Albania
Birn Begai, President of the Republic of Albania, has invited Saudi investors to invest in his country and to fully leverage the stimulating investment opportunities and laws, reported Al Arabiya. He promised to personally safeguard and guarantee Saudi investments in Albania.
The president stated this during his meeting with a delegation from the Saudi Chambers of Commerce led by Hassan Al-Huwaizi, the head of the union, along with a number of investors and representatives from various governmental and private entities, in the capital, Tirana, today.
He also highlighted his country’s ambitions to join the European Union, its status in several international organizations, and its capability to accommodate business activities and investments.
Saudi-Albanian Business Forum
Yesterday, the Saudi-Albanian Business Forum was held in Tirana, the capital of Albania. More than 250 officials took part in the event. During the forum, the Federation of Saudi and Albanian Chambers signed an agreement to establish a joint Saudi-Albanian business council.
Hassan Al-Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers said, during his speech, that KSA and Albania have agreements to encourage economic and investment cooperation.
He also stressed that the establishment of the Saudi-Albanian Business Council will constitute a strong boost to trade and investment between the two countries.
Saudi-Albanian Relations
Saudi-Albanian relations have a long history rooted in diplomatic ties and cultural exchanges. Despite the geographical distance between the two countries, Saudi Arabia and Albania have maintained a cordial relationship that has evolved over years.
