Saudi Arabia’s Acting Director General of Civil Defense Major General Dr. Humoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj led the Interior Ministry’s delegation to participate in the second meeting of ministers of Arab League members on disaster risk reduction, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Held in Egypt on August 21, the meeting delved into the cooperative relations among member states of the Arab League.
The ministers tackled preparedness and emergency response and coordination strategies to mitigate disaster risks.
The event also reviewed the preparations of the 6th Arab Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Arab program aimed at addressing maritime disasters and their mitigation efforts.
