
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, received on Thursday the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, at the presidential palace in Baghdad, according to the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
At the beginning of the reception, Prince Faisal conveyed to the Prime Minister of Iraq the greetings and appreciation of the Saudi leadership to Iraq, its government and people, wishing them more progress and prosperity.
In return, the Iraqi Prime Minister conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

During their meeting, Prince Faisal and Al-Sudani reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen and develop them.
Furthermore, both officials discussed several regional and international issues of common interest.
The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Dr. Fuad Hussein, attended the meeting.
The Saudi Foreign Minister arrived in Baghdad earlier on Thursday on an official visit. The visit aims to discuss ways to enhance relations and deepen cooperation between both countries across various fields, including economy, regional security, and efforts to de-escalate tensions and stabilize the region.
